All donations to NPC are tax-deductible. NPC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Your support and generosity are deeply appreciated, and helps us keep our programs free and accessible to all.

In-Kind Donations

 

NPC relies on the help of individuals and families to keep our programs free and accessible to all. Below are some of the in-kind donations that we find helpful. Please contact Lindsey King (northamptonparentscenter@gmail.com) for questions or to find out what we currently need.

Snacks & Supplies

All of our healthy, nut-free snacks for playgroup come from in-kind donations. Families have brought fruit, crackers and pretzels, cheese sticks, etc., as well as paper napkins and occasional baked goods for adults. We especially appreciate bananas, apples, oranges/mandarins, individual cups of applesauce, and cheese or other types of crackers. We are ALWAYS looking for donations of napkins and non-perishable snacks, as well as daily fruit or other healthy snacks appropriate for the 0-5 age group.

Volunteering

Volunteers can help with special events, mailings, and more. We always welcome individuals who would like to contribute their time and skills toward the organization’s mission. Please contact Lindsey King if you are interested.

Toys, Clothes, etc.

NPC has a small area set aside for freecycle items. Please feel free to donate children’s clothes, toys, and books, and to take items as you need.

For larger donations, NPC holds an annual Spring Tag Sale in late May or early June. Collection of children’s and household items is in the spring.

Northampton Parents Center

Northampton Parents Center is a nonprofit cooperative drop-in center for children, birth to kindergarten age, and their caregivers. Since 1986, Northampton Parents Center (NPC) has provided a safe, nurturing environment for families with young children to socialize. Free daily drop-in playgroups are Monday through Thursday, 9:30 am to 11:30 am. More information here.

The Parents Center is located in the lower level of Edwards Church at the corner of State and Main Streets in downtown Northampton.

Mission Statement

Since 1986, the mission of Northampton Parents Center has been to provide a safe and friendly space for young children and their caregivers to meet and play; to find support and resources; and to create connections and friendships.

All donations to NPC are tax deductible. We are 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We welcome your donations.

For the last several years, 80% of our funding has come from individual, family, and business donations from folks like you!
